Yesterday came and went which makes Greg's stay in the hospital one week and a day. We're still hopeful that we'll receive a call today and word of discharge. There's no place like home and once home, I believe he'll do better with his recovery. He managed to eat some yesterday which he’s been unable to do in previous days, in fact, they’ve had to put him back on an IV because he was becoming dehydrated not being able to even drink fluids without discomfort. Today will be challenging but I’m hopeful yet he’ll come home.
Together with Greg's sister, now with Mason home, and me on a lot of caffeine—we’re managing all the added pieces and preparing for Greg’s return. The cards continue to come in and I’m so grateful for everyone’s well wishes and kindness. I’m still at a loss who may have dropped off the beautiful gift basket—it was such a wonderful and thoughtful surprise and I’m hoping we’ll be able to have a little celebratory meal this evening for Greg’s return home.
I will keep you all updated via comments here and on Facebook.
